Control Strategies of Electric Vehicles Participating in Ancillary Services: A Comprehensive Review

With the emergence of electric vehicle (EV) era in which vehicle’s embedded batteries can be exploited for grid support purposes, role EVs participating ancillary services via vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology cannot disregarded. Although there are many forms services, most common delivered by frequency regulation, contingency, inertia, and voltage regulation. Numerous research studies have been conducted to propose effective control strategies (EVASs). In this paper, a comprehensive review is carried out on various with respect their participation services. The methodology applied comprises combination thematic historical reviews. explores benefits limitations these provides clear understanding gaps EVAS area. This will provide useful framework strong point reference researchers working V2G controls providing EVASs grid. way forward future grids accommodate more renewable resources achieve sustainability pathways.
